DJO Wide Rules

Below are the rules that apply to all members of the Dark Jedi Organization (DJO) regardless of club. They are simply and ensure our Organization remains safe, fun and organized for all.

No cheating No cheating is tolerated in the Organization. Cheating includes both in-game cheating as well as cheating in events (such as reporting games that didn't happen). Cheaters will be banned from the entire Organization.

No swearing or vulgar content We have a broad range of membership age at DJO and as such when wearing the DJO uniform we don't permit swearing. This includes no swearing on the DJO web site as well as when wearing a DJO club uniform in gaming arenas. This also includes abbreviated swearing. Content is generally kept to be within the limits of PG-13. Whereas "damn" and "ass" are not big deals when used infrequently the S, F and B words are strictly off limits.

No rudeness or outright disrespect Regardless of whether a person is in DJO or not, when we wear the uniform of a DJO club we treat others with courtesy and respect.

No illegality All content you make available on the DJO web site or while wearing a DJO club uniform needs to be free of illegality. We do not provide information to obtain software illegally or to play games in an illegal manner.

Abide by the comlink rules The comlink (message board) rules are in place to ensure fertile discussion and communication can take place. The comlink rules can be found here.

No inactive members At the lowest level being active refers to being online and playing the game at least 2-4 times a week. It also means playing in at least 1 mandatory event per month per club you are an active member of. This is an Organization focused on active gamers. If you don't quite meet the activity requirements but wish to remain part of the community you should request to be placed in the "Reserves".

No lies or deceit The system is run by DJO members and a degree of trust is placed upon those members. We are not interested in deceitful members or those out to harm others for self gains. That is classed as un-DJO like behavior. Be honest.

No soliciting for monies DJO is a free service and we do not charge anyone to be a member here. While we have a donation system for those who of their free will wish to give, that system comes with guarantees and safety. Members are not permitted to ask other members for monies towards that club or an entity for that club (such as a server). If members wish to donate time, monies or hardware they are welcome to but should not be solicited to do so.

No closed sign ups based on skill We do not prevent players joining the DJO based on their gaming skill. Players are welcome in DJO as long as they agree to the rules regardless of gaming skills. We help those with lesser gaming skills become better if they so wish. The only exception to this rule is for "Elite Divisions" which are sub-clubs to a club which doesn't prevent a member joining based on skill.

No attempting to violate the security of the web site Anyone found to be involved with trying to obtain other people's passwords, deliberately trying to break into areas of the site they are not permitted to or preventing the web server from operating normally will be banned for life. This also includes discussing with others intent to perform any of the above actions.
